Angry April 27, 2007

I’m angry. What am I angry about or who am I angry with? Myself. I am tired of feeling the need to apologize for my faith. I’m angry that I sit and say nothing while my LORD is mocked and slandered. This is what I believe. I just pray to God that I will no longer sit idle while HE is slandered or HIS word. The Bible is God’s inspired word. It is not man’s interpretation. We cannot take bits and pieces of what we like and throw out the rest. It is ALL TRUTH. I do not apologize for anything that I am stating here. If it offends you, too bad, you don’t have to read.

There is ONE way and ONE way ONLY to Heaven: Through Jesus Christ. There is NO way to get to heaven except BY HIM. No, I don’t say this JESUS said it in John 14:6: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” You cannot say “I’m basically good, I haven’t killed anyone” and think you are going to Heaven. We will ALL stand before a HOLY and RIGHTEOUS GOD and will be held accountable for what we did with HIS Son. If we go to HIM with the “I’m basically good” we will be cast into the lake of fire where there is “wailing and gnashing of teeth”. Why is this? Because God’s word states in Roman’s 3:23 that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” EVERYONE is a SINNER (Sinner is defined as “one who does wrong”). If you say you are not a Sinner, that you have NEVER done ANYTHING wrong, then you are a liar, because everyone has done something wrong.

Because everyone is a sinner there had to be a way back to God. If there is nothing we can do to earn our way to Heaven (as unfortunatley most people think) one would ask HOW do you get to heaven. You must accomplish 3 tasks.

1. Accept Christ’s death and resurrection

2. Believe that Christ was the son of God.

3. Confess your sins and repent. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10

Why should I place my faith in Christ? Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

It’s a simple but powerful prayer to have your place reserved in Heaven.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I have sinned against You. I want forgiveness for all my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and rose again. Father, I give You my life to do with as You wish. I want Jesus Christ to come into my life and into my heart. This I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

For those reading this blog, please note: I am not perfect. I mess up so often it’s not even funny. I think about knitting and yarn WAY too much. Eat too much food, and spend too much time online. I saw a bumper sticker that said: I’m not perfect, just forgiven. God has forgiven me for my innumerable sins. I know without a doubt that I will go to Heaven when I die (or if the rapture comes during my lifetime, I’ll be “caught up” in the air). The great thing is that now I don’t screw up like I used to (i screw up in new ways now…lol) I am trying to be more like HIM every day. Some days I do ok, but most days I fall flat on my face. I am just fed up of feeling like I should apologize. God is God. He is Everything to me, and I don’t want to remember how I was before Him.

Now if you have read all of this (way cool, as I can be wordy) and you have questions, please ask. I cannot promise to have all the answers for you but I know where I can get answers (I’ve got people…lol). If you want to debate me in real life, I may fall flat on my face (one of my fears) I will try. I know I won’t have all the answers if you debate irl (and probably not online either).

Here are some links that will give better answers than I can (they have college educations and have been studying longer/more than I have) 🙂

I’m wondering if I’m a little obsessed w/knitting, specifically knitting socks.  Tell me what you think, here are my symptoms:

1.  The only active knitting project I have right now is a pair of socks

2.  Most of the yarn in site (that I can see from my laptop) is sock yarn

3.  When looking for yarns (like on Destash for Cash or KnitSwap) I look for sock yarn.

4.  I’ve placed an order for 3lbs of sock yarn (undyed so I can play)

5.  The last several dyeing jobs I’ve done have been sock yarn.

6.  Yesterday, I left my knitting bag at home when we went to the park.  I spent quite a lot of time fretting as I didn’t have my knitting.

7.  When I go to work, I bring my knitting, even though there is NO chance that I’ll have time to work on it.  It just sits in a locker (I can’t even pet it) the entire time.

Is this a problem??  No, I don’t think so… I can quit any time…LOL 😀
