I read a blog entry and thought I should post.  The blogger (whose blog I closed, and have forgotten where I read it) posted about her downstream partner…how they hadn’t blogged…and was wondering if they were still alive.  Thinking that I hadn’t posted in like forever, I figured she could be talking about ME!  YIKES!

UPdate on MY pal’s socks:  They have been started…lol…I have been taking them with me everywhere, especially to the park.  So I am making progress.  It’s slow going as I knit tightly, and her feet are a tad larger than mine.  But I’m liking the pattern and the colors.  I have plans to switch to a larger needle soon. 🙂

Other projects right now:  Super Secret project…having fun with that, but can’t really blog about it.  I’m also doing Mystery Stole Kal 3!  We received the first clue TODAY!!!  YIKES!  a whole 100 rows to do !  YIKES!!!  It looks a bit complicated, and I’m nervous.  I just hope I don’t get behind.

Yes, I realize that Meme’s are boring blog fodder, but hey, it’s my blog… 😛  Actually, I have been knitting, but not much I can blog about.  I’m working on a secret project w/handpained yarn and beads…yummy!  😀

What I can talk about are the socks, that I’m stalling on.  Not a good thing.  They are for my SockPalooza4 Pal…I’m jsut not in a sock mood…more of a Lace mood…

‘Cause I joined MysteryStoleKal3 (or MSK3)!  I’m WAY excited!!!!  I’ve got my yarn, my beads, I’ve swatched, I am READY!  It should be fun, there are over 1800 members so far! 😀

And the answers to the Truth/Lies Meme:  Of course #2 & #4 are the truths!  I have 2 birth certificates, and yes I have to have them both.  I was born in Germany, and NO I am not German.  I also get motion sick if watching waves on the TV.  Get sick in a boat too…and car…and plane…but enough sickness…lol.  As for the other stuff…I’m not a big fan of heights, so skydiving is out.  Why jump out of a perfectly good airplane??  Psychos.. I don’t have a motorcycle, but I think it would be fun to ride one around the country, you know one of those big cushy ones.  And contrary to popular believe (and my husband’s misconceptions) I DO NOT have enough yarn to circle the globe…go around AZ, maybe. 😉

Here’s the Meme that I stole from Here:

1.  Is it about the finished item or about the process of knitting?  Some of both?  Has your focus changed one direction or th eother over time?

I love both.  I love the finished item as I have something to show for all the work.  I love working on projects, I especially love starting new things!  I’ve been pretty consistant throughout my knitting “career”…

2.  How do you view Mistakes?  Do you think they give your project character?  Is it important to have one, as my Aunt says, because only God is perfect?  Or would you rip all the way back to row 5 of your husband’s finished sweater knit on size 3 needles to eradicate a mistake no one else would notice?

Mistakes are part of life.  I will fix a mistake if I think others will notice, or if it really messes w/the design.  There is NO FREAKING WAY I would rip back a sweater knit on 3s for some minor mistake.  No way.  Cause the project would never get finished…just ask the cardigan that I finished where the neckline is too low…

3.   Would you rather knit a project that is comfortable for your skill level, or do you prefer a challenge that requires you to figure out new things?

Instant gratification.  I go with projects I can work on.  If they are too hard, I have a tendancy to put them into the UFO pile…

4.  What is something you really want to make but haven’t yet?  What holds you back?  Is it money, skill level, time, fear of the unknown or something else?

I’d say a full sweater for ME worked on fingering weight yarn.  What holds me back?  Well…#1, I’m not a small gal; #2: Fingering yarn would take months if not YEARS;  #3 we all know I have the attention span of a gnat…and yeah, a fingering weight sweater would never get done, despite my best intentions…I still want one…maybe I start that next…yeah, using up all my leftover sock yarns…or maybe w/the nasty cotton/wool sock yarn that I hate for socks..yeah…

😀  That was fun!
